Zambia’s agenda at the high-level forum centered on key priorities: enhancing peace, security and stability in the region and beyond; advocating for reforms to the global financial architecture to ensure fair access to capital for African countries; and promoting investment in infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and technology as alternatives to traditional aid models. The forum also offered Zambia a platform to champion greater equity and representation for African countries in multilateral institutions, particularly the United Nations. The 2025 Antalya Diplomacy Forum, running from April 11 to 13, was officially opened by Türkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who echoed similar concerns and called for more inclusive international cooperation and sustainable development strategies. On the sidelines of the summit, Mr. Haimbe was expected to hold bilateral talks with key institutions, including Turkish Aerospace, to explore avenues for boosting Zambia's defense and aviation capabilities, and with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) to expand development cooperation.
