Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, , which the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared a global pandemic on March 11, 2020, the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Ankara wishes to advise Zambians resident Turkey to adhere to basic protective measures by staying indoors , avoiding crowded places , which include shopping malls, nightclubs, restaurants and bars.
During this period, citizens are encouraged to follow guidelines from the Government of the Republic of Turkey through television news channels, newspapers, online media, twitter, Facebook as well as other online platforms.
Further, in order to support the efforts of the Government of the Republic of Turkey to stem the COVID-19 outbreak, which has affected164 countries and territories worldwide, we also wish to strongly advise citizens to maintain social distancing, maintain high-levels of hygiene by washing hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds, or use alcohol-based hand sanitizers, avoid touching your eyes, mouth and nose.
