As you may be aware, many airlines have suspended flights to and from the Republic of Turkey due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
In view of the above, the Zambian Mission in Ankara wishes to advise citizens who may have been forced to exceed their period of stay in Turkey or will exceed their visa due to flight cancellations, to urgently submit their passport details to the Embassy as well as the planned border exit point.
This information is necessary to enable the Mission to engage Turkish authorities on the possibility of waiving criminal prosecution on those who may be affected by the cancellation of flights.
