LUAPULA MINISTER DISPATCHES TRADE SAMPLES TO TURKEY FOR MARKETING

... Kawambwa Tea, Mansa Sugar, Mansa Chilli head to Instabul

Luapula Province Minister Nickson Chilangwa Sunday sent trade samples produced in the Province to the Zambian Mission in Turkey for purposes of demonstration and marketing in that country.

Mr. Chilangwa presented over three of the products made in Luapula Province to First Secretary for Trade and Economics at the Zambian Mission in Turkey Misheck Kaoma during a meeting in Mansa today.

Mr. Chilangwa handed over packaged Kawambwa Tea, Mansa Sugar and Mansa Chilli products to solicit orders from the Turkish market.

The Minister said that the Luapula Provincial administration would use the Zambian Mission to market Luapula products as part of the Luapula Expo agenda.

He explained that the move would serve as a platform for investors in Luapula Province to explore a wealth of opportunities to export their products to Turkey.

Mr. Chilangwa who praised President Edgar Lungu for nurturing warm bilateral relations that Zambia and Turkey are now enjoying, said Luapula Province would seize the moment to market its products in that country.

And Mr. Kaoma said the international export market such as turkey was looking for organic products like Kawambwa tea, Mansa Chilli and Kawambwa sugar.

Mr. Kaoma who thanked Mr. Chilangwa for the initiative was confident that the move would yield positive results in marketing the products to the Turkish market.

He said Turkey's over 80 Million population was in need of finished products from Zambia.
